Hoggs Road Forest

Hoggs Road Forest

A superb opportunity to secure a young forest that will generate carbon and produce a quality crop.

Hoggs Road Forest represents a great opportunity to secure a young forest, recently registered in the ETS under averaging. The location lends itself to excellent growth as well as a good location to local and international markets.

Spanning two freehold titles, the block comprises 142.52ha with a Net Stocked Area (NSA) of approximately 134.1ha of Pinus Radiata on its first rotation, planted with seedlings from Rotorua in May/June 2022. Rotorua, planted at 1,000 stems per hectare. Approximately 3ha of mature forest borders Hoggs Road.

Recently registered 130.61ha of forest in the ETS under averaging, enabling carbon cashflow for the first 16 years. Access throughout the block is via a series of 4wd tracks with relatively easy contours making for good access. Additional features include a woolshed, deer yards and implements shed contained on the smaller title. Two small paddocks were left unplanted in anticipation of being staging areas for logs come harvest.
