Price by Negotiation

Situated at the end of Mystery Valley Road, this large-scale property provides multiple options for investors, farmers and horticulture buyers alike. 166 ha (more or less) in a very sought after area of Paengaroa has many possibilities to consider.

From the sealed road there is a well-maintained gravel road providing good access to the farm. A commercial stand of Redwood trees are the gateway into the well sheltered valley. There is approximately 30 ha of prime flat to gentle sloping land, at an altitude of approximately 120m above sea level running North to South. The property is currently used as a beef finishing operation. Cropping has also been performed and horticulture is a consideration.

The balance of the land which is of a steep contour is in Radiata planted in three blocks of different ages. The East block are six-year-olds and cover an area of approx. 28 ha ; while the North block are nine years mature (approx. 21 ha). The Western block is approx. 55 ha and were planted in 2018. The pines are not in the ETS scheme.

A spring provides water for stock pumped to a 25,000L tank which gravity feeds troughs. The properties wetlands and sensitive areas have been fenced to a very high standard. This has been done in partnership with the regional council, creating an environmentally sustainable show piece. The property has its own pumice quarry that is used for maintenance.

A prudent investor will immediately recognise the prospect that this property provides, whether the buyer is local or international, it represents a valuable long-term venture. With easy access to Tauranga Port that is only 41km away, this creates a great return for the forestry. There is also a huge potential for carbon offset and carbon farming in combination with use as a runoff. The opportunity to secure land of this scale and with these options in the Bay of Plenty is extremely rare.
